My mom told me about a cool give-away. And so I did what she told me to and I'm choosing the second one. (Security).

David Bowman: has had a passion for art ever since he could pick up a pencil. He loves creating images of the Savior that inspire and uplift. "Innocence"
The Savior tells us we need to become as little children to inherit the kingdom of God. I've often wondered what it is about little children Jesus loves most, and I think its their innocence. They are clean slates, seeing the world and others through untarnished eyes. Their hearts are pure, without the baggage of cynicism and self-doubt. In this piece, I've tried to imagine how a child would act upon meeting the Master for the first time. Without reservation or inhibition, I think he would simply want to play with Him. He would be at complete ease, allowing his pure little heart to soak in the love and laughter of His pure, infinite heart. Its no wonder Christ delights in these little ones and sets them up to be our examples.

"Security"
One of the greatest human needs is a sense of security. In all aspects of life, we naturally gravitate towards anything that makes us feel safe. In this piece, I wanted to convey a sense of complete peace and calm like only the Savior can provide. It's a security that allows us to rest assured, without fear or worry, when we put ourselves trustingly in His arms. Little children have that inherent kind of trust in their parents, so it's fitting that the man and girl who modeled for "Security" are actually father and daughter. They generated
the exact feel I was looking for.

"My Child"
This piece conveys an intimate, up-close-and-personal feeling of the Savior's love. Notice how all the lines draw your attention and point towards Jesus' face in the center. I chose the name "My Child" because the only thing that could compare (even remotely) to Christ's compassion for us is the love of a parent for his/her child. This image is also intended to put things in perspective. Above all, we are God's children first. He allows us the privelege of experiencing parenthood for ourselves and we are entrusted to be the mothers and fathers of His children here on earth.

Samantha

I just read the whole collection of Samantha's books.
It took a long time to get them all done, but I did it! My mom sometimes helped me and my sisters listened sometimes.
I loved when in the last book that Samantha took Nellie and her two sisters to her aunt and uncles house and hid them in the attic. If you haven't read any Samantha books, I think you should. I really loved all of them.

Did you hear that they are putting Samantha, the doll, into the American Girl Doll Museum?
But I got her! I am so glad that I got her before they decided to put her in the museum. Samantha was my second American Girl Doll. I won her off of eBay. I saved up my paper route money and bought her on my own. I really love her. She is such a great doll.

The Doll Hospital

My very first American Girl Doll, Jenna, had a very bad accident with our dog, Lucy. So my mom sent her to the Doll Hospital. And I just got her back. They sent her to me in a new hospital outfit and with a balloon, a braclet and a note from her doctor. It says I have to let her get lots of rest for the next few days.

When I first pulled her out of the box. I gave her a huge hug. I am so happy to have her back.

Me Reading Books

I'm starting a new book. Meet Samantha. It's the first in the Samantha Collection that's based on the American Girl dolls.

I have the Samantha doll, so I ordered the books too.

So far it is really, really good. I think that you guys should read it too. I liked the movie of Samantha when I saw it on TV a few year ago.

I just finished Anne of Green Gables. It was a really, really good book. I bought the movie and watched it the same night. Because I had just finished reading the book and I wanted to watch it so bad. I've watched the second Anne movie. My cousins lent it to me, even though I didn't read the book yet. I want to watch the third movie really really bad because it has a baby in it.

This is my family . I love my family . I love to play with my family it is fun .

These are my family's names for my blog my Dad, Shimmy Mom, Big Bro is older than me , Princess and Deputy are my little sisters and there is me.

Shimmy Mom is a teacher. She is a good teacher. I love her.

Dad is silly. I love him.

Big Bro always wants to play with me. He loves sports basketball and football.

Princess she loves to play dress-up and with Barbies.

Deputy does whatever Princess does.

I love my family.

What I Liked About My First Year of Home School

It's our summer vacation now, but today I want to talk about school.

This year we started Home School. I was happy and sad about doing home school. I was sad hat I might miss my friends, but I was happy I would be with my family and I thought it would help me with my reading.

But then in the middle I learned that we get done before public school, so I can go do my chores and when public school gets out I can go play. So I still see all my friends. And in the summer I get to play with them a lot.

Now I love it. I get to stay with my family and do my school work in my house. It is so much fun. I like all my subjects. They are Math, Art, Science and History they are fun. But I love Language Arts, it is my favorite.

I'm not very good at it yet, but I'm getting better and better.

I love school. Yes, Home School Rocks!
